1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Description:

Up for auction is this amazing barn find (literally). We found this car through a mutual friend whose father owned this Coronet R/T since the early 70s. He bought it from the original owner making him second owner when it was just a few years old. When the father died 10 years ago they let it sit until last year when they decided to let it go. They had a shop flush the engine radiator fuel tank lines and rebuild all 3 carbs. Also at that time they replaced the master cylinder brake lines wheel cylinders radiator hoses belts plugs plug wires distributor new 3 inch magnaflow exhaust all 4 tires and new top. It was running and driving great last year but since its been sitting the brake pedal is low but still stops clutch feels weak my need adjustment or possibly replaced and engine sometimes idles rough one day and great the next I think center carb float might be sticking at times but she really sounds sweet with the cam that's in it. She will need some TLC. You are welcome and encouraged to look at it or have it looked at anytime before bidding. But doesn't run hot and oil pressure is at 60 psi when warmed up. I have a video of it running I will try to upload and you can text my dad at 6024697676 for more pics or questions we have nothing to hide.
We have the broadcast/build sheet that we found in the rear seat we also have the certicard owners manual and receipts from the 70s. This was a street racer in the 70s and early 80s. It is in most of its original Turbine Bronze metallic paint save for the front fenders and the painted on graphic strobe stripe on hood and deck lid painted and signed "Blondie 76". Also included but not shown is the extra hood he used for racing with big six pack style scoop if you want it. The second owner added many "Day 2" items and set it up to be a street freak, and had lots of work done and he wrote everything done on paper it has a big cam huge headers a 6 pack intake and carb from a 70s mopar Lakewood scatter shield and he made a custom console and replaced the stock shifter with a pistol grip shifter added rally wheels (steel wheels with original hub caps included) he even had the distributor modified for electronic ignition and has a adjustable timing control knob in glove box (no longer hooked up but included) cool old school tach and even a working FM 8 track player! He wrote that it was doing 12.90s in the 1/4 which isn't bad in mid 70s! But original AM radio still works too. Everything works horn turn signals lights dome speedometer etc. The true mileage is 66219 and is the original mileage stated by family and on title box A. But it has been stored since 1983. This car is super straight and still has original quarters doors etc. never wrecked but does have some very minor flaws couple of tiny dings paint cracking and flaking some what on hood and front edges of front fenders, paint rubbed off on top rear tail lights and etc. Only rust I could find was on the driver side rear wheel opening (see pic) but no where else which is amazing on a Mopar the way these cars rust but since it was stored and basically was a street strip car most its life living in Arizona it really helped. If someone painted the top side of this car the hood decklid and top of fenders it would be mint, but I like it the way it is an original street sweeper from when he souped it up in 1976! You could easily put this car back to stock and recoup most of the cost selling the six pack set up shifter etc but man this car is cool as is! It still has its original 440HP/375HP engine Hemi 4 speed and Dana 60 Suregrip posi with 3:54 gears all documented on broadcast sheet. the interior is almost flawless but has a small hole in headliner torn spot on carpet which would not show with floor matts and a tear in the vinyl on drivers front arm rest otherwise looks like it did in 67! I mean the crisp color of the gauges and dash looks like the car just rolled off the factory assembly line! pics don't do this car justice. If you have been looking for a day 2 survivor muscle car it doesn't get much better than this! Someone is going to get a really nice car. I was planning on keeping but due to recent health issues I can no longer drive a 4 speed otherwise I would keep this one.
I can store for 30 days inside or a little longer if needed. Cash on pick up or wire transfer car and title doesn't leave until funds clear bank.
