1941 Dodge Other Staff Car Description:

1941 Dodge Staff Car. Probably not an original, does have black paint under the OD Green, BUT some staff cars were pulled right from the production line. Car is also NOT stock under the hood. I limited myself to 40-45 mph with the original flathead six. I wanted to be able to run with traffic so now it has a 318 with automatic and a newer rear axle with gears around 286. It will run 70mph with ease now. This car is not fancy- just like any staff car. I did have the seats redone by Mac's upholstery outside of Decatur, Il ($1000) I have been using this car in local parades and car shows and for display for the 100th year anniversary for the American Legion in Newman, Il. The car runs drives and stops (front brakes need a little work) Body appears solid but some repair work has been done. 2 of the pictures show the right side running board with riveted patches in place. If you are looking for a pristine show car - KEEP LOOKING. If you want something to have fun with, get a thumbs up from veterans, let kids get in to have their pictures taken, this is the car for you.. Along with the 318 and automatic transmission, there is a new aluminum radiator with electric fans, new battery (trunk mount), new alternator, starter and a Lokar shifter. It does still need some tinkering. Along with the front brakes, it needs the emergency brake hooked up, the turn signals fixed, a horn, and the speedo doesn't work (I used my GPS).
