1969 1970 dodge charger

99999 MILEAGE

1970 Dodge Charger Description:

I have for sale my 1970 Dodge Charger project car. This car has had a lot of money and time spent on it already and will make someone a great project to finish. I purchased this car with the thought of building a General Lee. Therefore, I removed the 1970 charger front clip and added the parts to give it the appearance of a 1969 charger. While it is titled as a 1970 charger, it now looks like a 1969 charger. The charger was a good solid car when I purchased it. The floor pans in this car did not have even a pin hole of rust and that is almost unheard of with chargers. The car did have the typical charger rust around the lower sides and bottom of the rear glass, but that has been cut out and replaced with new metal welded in. The car also had a small amount of rust in the center trunk pan. The center trunk pan has also been replaced spanning from frame rail to frame rail. There is a little rust remaining in the very lower part of the quarter panels that will need to be repaired. This is not 'replace the quarter panel' kind of rust, it can easily be repaired with some small patch panels. It is hard to find a charger as solid as this one these days. The frame rails are in amazing shape with no rot. Please keep in mind this car is a project car and it is not street legal and it needs work to be completed. It will run, drive and stop which will make it mobile to pull in and out of your garage as you complete this project. The car is hot rod wired (just wired to start and run) and needs to be wired properly for gauges, lights, etc to work. In the interior, the seats need to be upholstered as well as the carpet and soft trim restored/replaced. Mechanically.....the car has a late 70s 440 removed from a low-mileage RV. It has not been rebuilt but starts and runs. I cleaned and painted the motor and hooked it to a recently rebuilt 727 automatic transmission. Paint and Body.....the car will need paint and body work. It is currently in black primer and ready for body and paint work to be performed. Door and quarter glass will come with the car and will need to be installed. The majority of the money that I have spent on the car has been mechanical. I will provide a list of the new parts that I have put on the car during the time I've been working on it below. Also, I have included several videos of the car below. There is a video walkaround of the car as well as a video of the car running. In addition, I have included a google drive link below that has over 400 additional pictures of the car. At this link, I have included pics of the car as it looked when I purchased it (the orange pics) so you will know exactly what it looked like before I began working on it. I encourage anyone interested in the car to watch the videos and look at the pics. I feel these will answer most questions. However, if you do have questions please just message me and I will be more than happy to answer them.

New parts: fuel tank, sending unit, fuel tank seals and grommets, fuel pump, water pump, carburetor, distributor, coil, spark plugs, plug wires, rebuilt original radiator, recently rebuilt 727 torqueflite transmission, all new front brakes, new front wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new front brake hoses, new front brake shoes, new front bearings, new upper ball joints, new lower ball joints, new upper control arm bushings, ceramic coated heaters, mini-starter, new windshield (that I broke installing) and rubber, new trim clips around front and rear glass, new Boss 338 series wheels (18x8 in front and 18x9.5 in rear, and new tires. I'm likely forgetting some items but this is the majority.

Please, ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you.

PAYMENT INFORMATION: The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be used if discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, please do not bid until you have discussed options with me. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding. I'll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier's check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.

ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions.

BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. As a bidder, you can be confident that the vehicle you are bidding on is described to the best of my ability. I am always happy to provide any perspective bidder my contact information if they wish to speak directly with me on the telephone about the vehicle. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message.
