I bought the Dodge D500 at auction. It was own by the city of Long Beach and had welding bed. It had 27,000 miles on the speedometer, when I had the new seals installed in the transmission. I ask the mechanic how many miles does the transmission have on it. He answer! That the speedometer reading of 27,000 miles was correct! I had the rear axle gear box change out so it does 70 miles an hour. If you know this type of truck, their gear out to about 50 miles an hour.
