1991 Dodge Other Pickups Description:

91 dodge w250 4x4, 5 speed manual,air,block heater, front and rear hitch,aux tank w/pump, 9000# ramsey winch under bed, lumber rack and air bags. All it needs is a paint job to be a great truck. Nevada truck, no dents or rust. Bought from original owner who put 90k miles on it pulling travel trailer. I put 50k on it hauling glass for my business. Its been a great truck. I retired 2 years ago and don't use it anymore. These trucks have heavy axles (dana60/70) and stiff suspension. They tend to rattle and cause electrical gremlins. The latest is the speedometer which went haywire at 134K. They were electronic with cold soldered circuit board. The internet is full of people trying to fix them with little success.Speedometer shops wont touch them. I found a donor speedo and worked great for 3k miles and now it is intermittent. The interior is nice and the seat is perfect. Over the years I have change the injection pump, radiator, water pump, alternator, battery and 2 vacuum boosters. You can drive this truck across the country, I have. There is a vacuum warning light on the dash that stays on, the switch on the firewall is cracked. I haven't found a replacement. The lower hinge on the drivers door cracked. The door skin is too thin. My best welder in our town said there is nothing inside the door to brace or gusset to. I found a donor door that works great and still have the original door. Also the clutch works well but I noticed that sometimes it chatters wen I back up. Our local Dodge/Cummins shop said it shouldn't be worn @ 140k but I think at some point it will need a clutch. I believe in full discloser. The best tank I got on a road trip is 22mpg.
