1975 Dodge Tradesman 100 Camper van conversion Description:
Selling a newly renovated 75 dodge tradesman 100 camper conversion van named Rico. (The van is very similar to "uncle Rico's" van from the movie Napoleon Dynamite). It has 318 v8 with a 727 automatic transmission that runs and drives great. Cruises down the highway very comfortably. It's equipped with power steerin, new whitewall tires and disc front brakes. (Speedometer just stopped working) The van is from Washington and was originally from California where it was converted to a camper with fiberglass hightop, custom paint and sliding windows which was all completed in 1975 at a conversion company. The paint on the van is the original custom conversion paint which is in excellent shape considering the age and 99% rust free. I have totally renovated the interior as a weekend camper set up with a futon style couch/bed with storage underneath, countertop unit with shelves and a patina copper sheeted flip up table on the cargo door. Everything in the van has been handcrafted with reclaimed products giving it that rustic feel throughout. The walls, side cargo doors and storage under futon is all pallet wood salvaged from the local brewery, sanded and sealed in polycrilic. There is a shelf in front by visors and rear over the doors. It's also equipped with a 50watt flexible solar panel on a 10ft extension cord to be placed to capture the sun. This panel charges the dry cell solar battery with a charge controller. It then carries power to led strips that surround the perimeter of the roof which reflects off hightop to provide nice subtle lighting. The house battery also powers a Bluetooth head unit and a 500 watt inverter for charging gadgets. The two captains seats swivel and are original from the conversion. There is standing room from front to back of van which allows a 6'2 person stand straight up throughout. This is a totally one off custom built camper van which will provide years of enjoyment.
