1985 Dodge Ram D150 Custom Cab Pick Up **Classic Mopar Iron**

1985 Dodge Other Custom Cab Description:

Classic American Iron. Decent truck for its age. It has a remanufactured date coded 5.2 liter 318 in it with a 727 automatic Transmission & 9 1/4 inch rear end. The engine is barely broke in. This truck is almost in original factory form as far as the drivetrain go's. It has a after market rear bumper set up for towing and an after market stereo system and after market beauty rings and caps on the original wheels. It has the after market chrome bed runners that look real good when the tool box is in front of them! It also has a custom dual exhaust system that sounds good. It runs very strong. It don't have the catalytic converter but does have a operating smog pump. It has a/c but it don't work at the moment, it did after I replaced the pump and Freon and dryer and some of the other parts and then one day it just didn't work again, not sure why. The heater works. It also has tilt wheel and cruise control. The seat is new, when I had it redone I sanded the floor and coated it with Rino Liner. The stereo is also a new Sony Explode System that's nice with usb ports. So far I sanded and coated the roof with epoxy sealer and light sanded some on the front fenders where the logos go and primed them. It can be a nice truck with little work. I have all the trim and Ram that gos on the hood. And other extra misc. parts that go with the truck. The truck will need the u joints serviced soon and some tires soon but they still operate as of now. Great deal if you need a truck to tow a trailer with, it tows good. Or want a very cool classic truck to restore. I will also give you a nice aluminum behind the cab full size tool box with key. I also put two nice pusher fans in front of the radiator for hot weather. It's a runner and a steal of a deal for the amount of starting bid. This truck is not rusted and has no body fillers. What you see is what it is. I have some nice new taillight lenses too. I will post more pics tomorrow. Thanks and happy bidding!

I almost forgot, but you can tell it has had one repaint that was probably pretty nice for a couple of years. It was put on so thin that when I sanded the driver side fender I was able to sand it off by hand very easily without burning through the original paint. The original color is a much nicer color, you can see the difference in the two side by side in the picture I posted of the engine. The front cowl is the faded repaint and the underside of the hood is the original. A repaint is a good thing, it keeps older cars & trucks from rusting out, even if it's not a very good paint job!
