1955 DeSoto Firedome Description:

This is a very nice original, complete and very restorable 1995 DeSoto Firedome sedan. The body is very straight, has very minimal rust as do the floorboards. It has great patina if that is your thing or it could very easily be painted. It does have the typical lower MOPAR rust in the lower quarters but it's nothing major at all. Virtually all of the chrome is in very good to excellent condition and would not need much work at all. As far as I know, this has been a California/Nevada car all of its life and I do have the "pink slip" from 1958!
It has a 291 V8 hemi engine in it, and it's free and turns. I would assume that it would not take too much to get it running, most likely a good tune-up, carburetor rebuild and cleaning of the fuel tank should get it to run. It has the 2 speed Powerflite automatic with the shifter on the dash.
The interior is complete and there and most of it is left to match for restoration or you can do your own custom interior.
I think you'd have to do some searching to come up with a good solid restorable car that is this complete. It's for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell here locally.
