1977 Datsun 280Z 2 owners from new, been in storage since 1989

1977 Datsun Z-Series Description:

1977 Datsun 280z VIN: HLS30-375688

I am the 2nd owner of this 280z and bought it from the original owner out of Vineland, NJ back in July 2015. The original owner bought this car brand new from Gratz Datsun in Bridgeton, N.J. and drove it daily until 1989 when he bought a new Lincoln. The 280z was placed into a sea land container until 2015.

The car has 138,385 miles on the original engine which was rebuilt at 120k or so miles. I do not have any paperwork to back up that statement but, the engine is clean and dry and it is not locked up. The car still retains its original 5 speed transmission and it shifts smoothly. The engine has not been started since 1989.

The car obviously has a good deal of rust but the floors and floor supports are solid and the battery tray is not rusted. The rear hatch striker panel has not rusted and the spare tire well is dry. The car has never been hit or repainted and would either make a nice project, or a great source of parts. The interior is complete and not missing any parts and is in pretty decent condition overall.

The car is stored about an hour from where I live and I can arrange to show the car by appointment only. Feel free to contact me if you need any additional pictures. I am only selling due to the need to free up a parking space. The title is clean and clear
