The time has come for me to part ways with my beloved 510. I have owned this car over 5 years now and have poured countless hours of blood sweat and tears into rebirthing this incredible machine. it started with buying the car which had been sitting 10+ years in someones driveway, i bought the car with the full intention of letting it live on. i have a link to more extensive pictures of the restoration process as well as a link of it running as it sits currently. this is by no means a show car, and has more things required to make it your daily or weekend commuter. This car was featured on a blog called "old parked cars" and made most viewers admittably regret that this car would never move again, however that was a lie, it has been alive and well.. heres a link:

Pros: The tires on it now have less than 1000 miles on them, the front seats out of a mazda speed 3 are very adjustable and supportive, the following are new or have been replaced: rear struts, front tie rods, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, distributor, coil, spark plugs and wires, new weber 34/36 carb, clutch, windshield, windshield rubber, rear window rubber, trunk rubber, fuel tank filler neck has been converted to fill up from inside the trunk (no more leakage or spills on hard turns) the dash board has a new plastic dash cap that makes it look brand new. i have a grant steering wheel in it (has small rip) new brake pedal rubber caps, the entire floor of the car inside and in the trunk has a truck bed coating sprayed and looks fantastic. has a new carpet kit installed as well as a custom headliner made by my fathers friend in the perforated white vinyl style like an old mercedes. the list goes on with this car from the transmission being replaced and motor swapped from the original L16 to the L20b i picked up and had a rod replaced, new rings put in, the head was redone at a machine shop and the baby purrs. i have driven it in 95 degree weather from Portland Oregon down to Sacramento California with no problems. if you take care of her she will take care of you. the windshield wiper motor has been replaced with a mazda 626 wiper motor that wipes twice as fast as the original motor which makes driving in the rain tolerable, however the wiper blades like to stay parked upward (not sure what the issue is)
Cons: Ebrake lines are torn out and missing, heater control lines are missing, reverse lights are not wired up, and same goes for the horn. the rear bench seat has tears along the top from age. the original 510 front seats are included but need reupholstery as well. missing the rear view mirror and sun visors as i wanted to install one of the 5 panel rally mirrors in it.
I have boxes of extra parts for this car included with the sale, there are boxes of screws nuts and bolts, rubber seals, extra new tie rods, new alternator, new rear springs for modifying the rear end to sit lower, as well as 280zx front end with springs, new strut inserts, and brakes. the original chrome mouldings that go on the rocker panels, and around the rain gutters, and a box i ordered over seas for all new polyurethane suspension rubber for the entire car. also included is the original front seats that are getting harder to find, and a complete set of Panasport minilites wheels however they have been sitting for some years in a barn and the tires are dry rotted. i had so many plans of lowering and making this thing a track monster but unfortunately our vanagon needs a new motor and i have no space to keep this car anymore.
This car like most datsuns needs a little tlc
