I got hooked on the 2cv since living in Europe from 1999 to 2008.Over the past 18 years I have owned 4 different 2cv . One from Poland, another from Germany another from Netherlands, and this one from New Jersey. The 1971-1982 means the car is Titled and Registered as a 1971 but actually it is a 1982 withTHE 602cc engine. If you know anything about the early years of importing cars from Europe, then you will know about the Grey Market. I think, I know these cars pretty well, and this is a very, very nice car with no rust ON FRAMEor ANYWHERE, and excellent driving ability. I have done the following to this car in the past 18 months: 5 new Firestone tires, DG Electronic Ignition, High Performance Ignition coil, Carb rebuilt, motor mounts replaced. New Fuel sending unit in gas tank installed, new front disc and emergency brake pads. Rear brakes were inspected and are like new. luggage rack from Germany installed. Keyless Ignition installed. Rear mud flaps installed, wheel beauty rings added, interior circulating fan installed. In addition to regular horn an Air Horn and 12 volt socket in cabin was installed. WHEN I PUT ALL THIS DOWN ON PAPER ITS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT I DID ALL THAT WORK. Selling because I have too many cars, getting old! Whoever gets this car, will be a VERY HAPPY PERSON.
