1948 Chrysler Windsor Series Highlander Description:
For bids is a1948 Chrysler Windsor Highlander Convertible.
This rare collectible car has been on display in the National Auto & Truck Museum in Auburn, Indiana for the past 20 years.
The car was restored prior to the current owners purchase in 1996 with a new convertible top, new plaid seat coverings, and new carpet.
The brakes were new when purchased in 1996.
It also had new white wall tires and tubes installed after the purchase. The tires have no miles on them and there is no weather checking.
Note the outside mirrors and spot lights on each side of the car.
Note also the fog lights and the three bumper guards.
The convertible top is in very good condition and is operational.
The chrome is in very good condition as shown in the pictures.
NO RUST.
It does need a speedometer cable.
There is a stone chip in the windshield as shown in one of the pictues.
The paint has normal minimal chips.
A deposit of $1,500 is due within 48 hours of the closing of the auction.
The balance is due via bank transfer or cash prior to picking up the vehicle.
