1985 Chrysler LeBaron -- Description:

LeBaron was one of the many prominent coachbuilders in the 1920s and 1930s to provide bodies for luxury cars. It was purchased by Briggs Manufacturing Company in 1926 and operated as a Briggs specialist subsidiary. For 1982, the LeBaron moved to the front-wheel drive Chrysler K platform, where it was the upscale brand's lowest priced offering. It was initially available in just sedan and coupe versions. For model years 1982 through 1988, the Town & Country name was featured on... the wagon version of the K-body based front wheel drive LeBaron, featuring simulated wood grain exterior trim. A limited production convertible version was manufactured for model years 1983 to 1986 and also featured simulated wood grain paneling and was meant to reflect the classic look of original 1940s and early 1950s convertibles. Built for only 2 years, there were only 595 built in 1985.
