1961 Chrysler Imperial

1961 Chrysler Imperial Description:

This car has been parked outside for at least the last few years. We are helping the family of the late owner sell it and the only thing we have done with it is check the engine. The owner had the carb rebuilt so we hooked up a battery and the engine started right up. The push button transmission works and many of the power features do too. We didn't test everything, but it appears that the car was drivable not that long ago. Someone had started some bodywork. There is bondo in areas and some rust through. The underside appears to be solid. Please refer to all the photos to get a better idea of the car's condition. The trim appears to all be there. The grill was in the back seat. The interior is rough, but complete too. This was a very optioned car with power everything and air conditioning. It's a shame it has deteriorated to the condition it is in now. This could make a big project for someone who really likes this or it could be parted out to save other Imperials. The 413 could go in another car or be used to build a hot rod. We are auctioning this off with no reserve so the highest bidder gets it. The buyer is responsible for transporting it though so please check on that before bidding. The car is heavy and although the engine runs, the brakes are not good enough to move the car onto a trailer. The front tire is flat too.
