1972 Chevrolet Suburban Description:
Up for auction is a 1972 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4. Extensive work and money was put in to this truck to get it where it is today. Body has been off of the frame with new frame mounts and rubbers. Extensive work done to restore the rear section of the frame, as well as front and mid floor pan replacement which is nicely done. Inner front fender wells are new, and the spare tire tub in the rear is new.This truck was running and driving approximately 4 years ago, when it was disassembled for the remainder of the restoration. Leaf springs have been removed and sandblasted. Shackles and spring mounts are new heavy duty thicker aftermarket, along with spring plates and u-bolts (not torqued). All steering components included. Original wood floor included for the very rear of the truck. Wood is not in great shape but could be used for a template to replace. Two brand new fuel tanks included in sale and not installed. Front and rear driveshafts present along with all drivetrain, transmission (straight drive), and transfer case. Truck is an original 350 with engine present and in truck. There is a new Edelbrock 4 barrel Performer Series carburetor on the engine with all components present. Again, this truck ran and drove 4 years ago when it was parked. Exhaust is present and intact. Body is in amazing shape from the doors up, with typical early K5 / suburban rocker and quarter rust that needs to be addressed. Truck comes with new brake calipers and a full disk brake conversion kit (not installed). Truck also has two brand new front seats in the box. No back seat with it. Other interior components include but not limited to all original badges, nuts and bolts from disassembly, steering wheel, door panels, gauges, dash ect. Truck includes front and rear bumpers, lights, lenses, spare tire with original jack, handles, window glass and latches. Front windshield does have a crack in it, but all other glass in excellent shape. Windows roll up and down freely. Door gaps are nice and open and shut properly. Original radio and brake controller included along with bags of tagged bolts, nuts, and miscellaneous parts that were removed. 5 door truck with rear barn doors. Really neat vehicle, getting hard to find, with a lot of major work done to it already. I am happy to assist with shipping and pick up. Truck is currently inside of my shop.
