1938 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton truck Description:

Greetings Collectors!!!
Up for sale is my 1938 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton dually truck. I bought this truck this last spring and have decided to pursue other interests, mainly sitting on my front porch and drinking beer (humor, folks). I bought this wanting to put it back on the road but am switching careers and there isn't any way I will get this done in a reasonable amount of time (reasonable amount of time at my house is when the wife has had enough and makes me sleep outside with it). I will tell you everything I know and will do my best to be as honest as possible. Please do not assume anything and take the time to call email/text questions to me.
First, the good.
The cool factor is off of the charts on this thing. This is a solid 1938 Chevy survivor. There are dings, dents, minor rust, etc but most of it is still there and savable.
I have filed for a North Dakota title. Yes, there is a title but the state hasn't put it in my mailbox yet. They don't get in too much of a hurry up here. In the long run, you do get title though. Please be patient.
If you do the "Buy it Now" I am including a 1978 Chevy pickup (that has a title) for a donor vehicle. It has a running 292 6 cylinder and a 4 speed. My intention was to pull the body off of the 1938 and set it on the 1978. This was going to give me modern brakes, wheels, steering, etc. Yes, you read correctly-the price includes the 1978 IF YOU WANT IT and do the "Buy it Now". If you don't want it you do not have to take it. The body is rough on it but it runs like a Swiss watch.
I can include a set of leather seats from a 2003 Chevy Impala to replace the bench seat I took out of here. Mice ruined the bench seat (we don't even want to know what they were doing in there) so I removed it and can ship a set of leather seats with the truck if you want.
Second, the bad.
The engine DOES NOT run. I have a donor truck to go with this but this engine has "Given up the ghost".
Mice got into the truck and destroyed the seat. The mice DO NOT come with it. They went to see Jesus.
Side windows have been replaced with plexiglass.
It is going to take work to get this truck running. You won't be able to sit on the front porch and drink beer with me and expect this to run. You are going to have to get involved.
I live in SW North Dakota. We are a long way from anywhere. Shipping will not be cheap and YOU are paying for it. I have posted this truck before and shipping quotes were 1,500-2,000 to the coast. That was for one vehicle. Remember, you have the option of getting the donor truck for free but YOU will have to pay the shipping.
Antique trucks can create strife within a marriage. If you have an exceptional wife/significant other she/they might understand and accept this monstrosity when it shows up. If your spouse/significant other isn't so understanding then you might want to take me up on the leather seats in case you end up sleeping in it. Of course, your spouse/significant other might be a beast and leave you. If this is the case then this might be well worth it and the cheapest divorce out there. You get to decide.
Buy it now is $2,000. This includes the 1978 Chevy pick-up if you want it as well as the leather seats. Once I have the deposit I will help you any way I can within my ability and time. I will accept cash (I will be looking for fake bills so don't even think about it), check, paypal, or interesting trades. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will this truck leave my possession until your funds are clear. PERIOD. I don't care if your millionaire uncle in Zimbabwe needs someone trustworthy to hold his millions until he can write the check. You either have the money or you don't. Once I have your money, then you get your truck(s). If you schedule a transport before your check clears I WILL NOT LOAD IT. If you try to jack me around on the payment I might just "accidently" find some mice and include them with the deal.
I have started to pull the sides off. It is no longer a grain truck but a flatbed. Can send more pics if you need them.
NO WARRANTY!
Reserve is at 1,800. Buy it now is at 2,000
