1964 Chevrolet Corvair 500 Description:

Up for sale is my 1964 Corvair 500 coupe hot rod. This is a beautiful rust free Corvair with 45881 original miles. I’ve owned the car for almost 4 years and have completely gone through every part of this car.The previous owner had the car repainted a beautiful metallic aqua color that resembles the original Azure Aqua color. Pictures do not do this color justice. Top was painted white at the same time. Car still has its original 95 hp engine but has been completely updated....listed below.
Engine -Engine compartment is completely redone...all shrouds powdercoated, compartment repainted with satin black urethane paint.New engine to body seals, grommets and boots.New 100 amp chrome/black internally regulated alternator with chrome fan pulley.New HEI fully electronic ignition and 8 mm wires from Seth Emerson.Fully rebuilt carburetors (including throttle and choke shafts) with new single air filters and correct PCV system.New motor and transmission mounts.New pan gaskets with longer bolts and fresh oil.All new exhaust gaskets and mufflerHeater hoses replaced.Heads deflashed.New PG pan gasket / bolts and fluid.
Brakes/Suspension-New front disk brakes with new 7/8” dual master cylinder.and proportioning valve. All new calipers, hoses, pads, bearings, seals. 5 lug hubs and spindles from a late model Corvair.New upper and lower ball joints.4 new shocks.Lowered on cut lowering springs.New rear axle bearings.New longer wheel studs on all 4 wheels.
Interior-Custom painted speedometer with blue LED lights.New Forever Sharp steering wheel with custom adapter from Seth Emerson.New radio and speakers.New Equus gauges - oil pressure / clock / volt meter.Newer carpet.The rest of the interior is original.
Exterior-New steel smoothie wheels powdercoated gloss black. - 15” in the back, 14” in the front.New tiresNew dog dish stainless hubcapsNew mirrorsNew wipers4 new tail light lenses and all new bezels and gaskets. - all 4 taillights are brake / turn. No back up lights.4 new headlight bulbs. (Blue is just spray paint and can be removed)LED front turn signals with clear lenses.
Wheels have some scratches from trim rings that I had on them and headliners has a couple patches.
Car runs fantastic. Drive it anywhere. Stops and shifts and handles great.
