General Condition: Original Chevy II Nova SS. Rare matching numbers 230cid inline straight six original California Chevy Nova SS. Low original 93,103 miles. Original Azure Aqua (Chevrolet paint code 918) exterior, believed to have one respray with some paint chips from wear. 185/70-14 tires on factory steel wheels with SS hub caps and manual drum brakes. Clean and solid underneath. Very clean original aqua interior Nova SS interior (code 723), original AM radio/antenna and SS center consul. All working SS instruments panel, tear-free original front bucket seats, bench back seat with period correct front and back seat belts, original carpet and rubber floor mats. Spare tire and original jack, always garaged nor driven in the rain, rust free floors and trunk, third owner, driven less than 500 miles in the last two years. Stored and covered in a climate-controlled garage. Low reserve.
Mechanical: The higher rated rare original 230cid 155 horsepower inline straight-six (not the standard 194cid) coupled with the original two speed powerglide transmission…both run smoothly and shift with ease. (See pictures for engine block stamped: F01013BU for 230cid with Powerglide and posi-vent) Power steering. Recent carburetor and distributor rebuilt, new heater core, front shocks replaced, and brake adjustment. New "Flamethrower" coil and electronic ignitor (original coil and point/condenser included). Recent valve adjustment and fluid change.
This is my third owned Chevy Nova SS and by far, the best. This Nova is in excellent running condition, fun to drive, and gets lots of attention whereverit goes. With definite reservations, I’m selling this prize because I don’t have time to enjoy the driving experience. Very original car with no modifications...as mentioned all the way down to the original AM radio. I’m listing this Chevy Nova SS at a low reserve for its condition. Someone will be receiving a very nice Nova with no disappointments. I have tried to describe this car the best I can, but please keep in mind, this is a 55-year-old original car, with some wear, slight surface rust on the undercarriage, trunk and engine compartment. Clearly a very nice driver. The title is clear and in my possession. If there are any questions do not hesitate to ask. I have more pictures as well if you would like to see them all.
