1974 Chevrolet Camaro LT Description:

I have for sale a great second gen Camaro Z28 that is complete and mostly original. This has the added benefit of being an LT model. Don't know how many were made in this configuration but I bet it wasn't many. Up until I recently purchased the car it has always been a western car...California and Arizona from what I can tell. I purchased the car on a whim since I had a similar car to this back in the 70's when I was in college. After a reality check I have realized that I don't have the time, budget or room for another project as I currently have 3 unfinished projects including a Donahoe Javelin, a Falcon Futura and a 67 Cougar. Also, I'm mostly a Ford and AMC guy and those are in my comfort zone. So I am putting the Camaro up for sale.
I really don't know where to start but I am hoping the pictures that I have posted will tell you 95% of the story. In my opinion, this car has great bones! It is 85-90% rust free and a great foundation to build on. The original L82 350 is long gone and was replaced in 2003 by a previous owner with a GM crate GM Performance 350HO/330Hp engine. I have receipts that show he paid a repair shop in Sunnyvale Ca $6445 to have this engine installed. That total included $4375 for the engine and the rest for swapping over parts off the old engine and new parts plus labor. In fact I have receipts totally over $10K over the last 15 years for a lot of mechanical repairs including front suspension, brakes, new radiator, new fuel tank, tires, alignments, etc. I have driven the car only a few miles but I can tell you that the car drives straight, and is tight and wouldn't take much to make this a daily driver. Engine is strong and responsive Turbo 400 shifts smooth and strong and car tracks down the road straight. There is an exhaust leak.
As far as the body goes there is some rust but is minor in my estimation for an F Body car of this era. For some reason the rust is concentrated mainly on the passenger side rear of the car. As you can see there I rust on the passenger side quarter panel behind the rear wheel and on the top side of the quarter panel around the spoiler area. I don't believe a full quarter replacement is required. There also so rust in the trunk pan area as seen in the pictures. Other than that, this a very solid car! Pans, frame, rockers, doors, hood, etc. are great! Very clean undercarriage as seen in pictures. Paint is faded but original so what you see is what you get.
Look at all the pictures, ask for more if you don't see what your interested in. This a great driving classic with a ton of upside. NADA and Haggerty value this car in " fair" condition around $13K. 73-74 Z28s are rising in value and I have seen them go for high 30s to mid 40s in Auctions this year. Buy this car and drive it now and restore as you go. Good luck and feel free to ask questions through eBay messaging. I will consider all reasonable offers. The car is located in Tx and the zip is 77573. Title is clear and in the name of the previous owner but signed over. Good luck!
