This Corvette was originally delivered new by Allen Chevrolet of Dedham, Massachusetts to its first owner, Mr. Joseph Bedessa of Rhode Island on March 11, 1966. This 327/350 Corvette was nicely optioned with AM/FM radio, Power antenna, Side mount exhaust system, Kelsey-Hayes knock-off wheels and Goldline tires. At some time during Mr. Bedessa’s ownership, the car was sold to a Mr. Philip Withington. Mr. Withington sold the Corvette to Mr. Paul Mertz of New Hampshire in 1977. Mr. Mertz owned the car for 35 years until 2012. The condition today is superb throughout and shows the care this Corvette has received during its ownerships. Mr. Mertz had the Corvette judged by NCRS in 1994 and it won a Third Flight Award. This Corvette is highly original with just a professional and top quality repaint in original Tuxedo Black. During its most recent ownership, this Corvette has continued enjoying superb care as its condition will attest. A few drivability and safety upgrades have been performed. These improvements include a conversion to dual master brake cylinder, 3-point seat belts replacing lap belts and a Vintage Air conditioning system. Along with these items a recent servicing has been performed to assure all systems are working properly and the Corvette drives and feels as intended. All work was carried out by notable Corvette specialist, Kevin Mackay of Corvette Repair, Inc. All invoices for this servicing are included. This matching numbers Corvette is exceptional throughout and well serviced in all areas.
