Ps & pdb. Stock #: V18680 Exterior Color: Onyx Black Interior Color: Red Body Type: Coupe Transmission: Powerglide Auto Engine: 348 TRI POWER Title Condition: Clear This 58 Impala has it all! Fantastic colors, decked out in accessories and very desirable 348 tri-power! Exceptionally nice throughout. 1 year only design.
EXTERIOR: The mirror black finish is fully adorned with chrome accessories. It has dual mirrors, dual antenna, door handle gaurds, rocker moldings, fake exhaust ports, spears on top the fenders, 4 trim pieces on each fender, wide moldings down each side, moldings outline the 1/4 panel "wings", moldings on the 1/4 panel ribs, chrome at the rear roof line, huge chrome bumpers and more! Wow, that's alot of jewelry. The body looks great. I just finished looking down both sides, checked along the bottoms. There's no bubbling or cracking that I found. Panels all fit nice. It is also dressed up with continental kit. Painted fender skirts are in the trunk ready to install if you prefer. The paint has a very smooth, glossy finish. It's like a mirror. All that trim I mentioned is in excellent shape. Bumpers are show chrome, stainless moldings were polished or replaced. Front and rear window look new. Hubcaps are in excellent shape, spinners. Rims are painted silver, has new white wall tires. Door jambs detailed. Paint is slick, the hardware and latches, weatherstrips and sill plates look new.
INTERIOR: Restored to factory condition. Sharp looking red with the tri-color inserts. All the upholstery was replaced with correct reproduction. Very cool pop-up rear armrest. Door panels have all been replaced with the correct anodized metal trim in the middle. The armrests, window cranks and handles were replaced. Carpet, headliner and visors were replaced. The metal all around the dash is painted glossy red. Steering wheel looks new. The trim on top of the doors is chrome plated. Interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has matching number 348 big block motor. Casting # is for 58 only. Correct tri-power carbs were rebuilt. Has correct air cleaner. It had an $1,100 tune up 3 years ago. The entire compartment has been restored and cleaned up very nicely. The engine has a nice clean coat of Chevy orange. The brackets and engine bay is painted nice smooth black. Silver hinges look new. Wiring harness is replaced, many electrical components look new. It features power steering and brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Huge trunk compartment. All solid metal painted black. It does have a new rubber mat, complete jack assembly and a spare tire.
UNDERSIDE: Up front was inspected and the shocks and springs were replaced. We have $2,433 receipt for new upper and lower balljoints and steering box. New springs and air shocks in back. We have receipts for new brake system and it was upgraded to disc in front. Bottom of the motor is clean, has original canister type oil filter. The original Powerglide automatic was completely rebuilt, has receipt for $2,433. New exhaust from the motor to the tips. Very neatly bent along the frame, has glass pack mufflers. The car is really solid underneath. The floors, braces, rockers etc are all metal.
The more I looked this car over the more impressed I became. It may be an older restoration but someone spent a fortune and redid everything. It has also been very well cared for since. I think it a high quality car.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

About Volo Auto Museum No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB. Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down. Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
