1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups Task Force 3100 Description:
1957 Chevrolet 3100 (interestingly badged as a 1300 due to being a Canadian market truck) Task Force 7.5 foot box Pickup Truck. Very solid un-restored truck. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder. Contact must be made within 24 hours of the auction ending or it will be assumed that you have no intention of honoring your bid and the truck will be offered to others. Zero Feedback bidders must make contact prior to bidding.This truck has a straight and mostly rust free body. It's very rare to find these trucks in un-restored condition with minimal rust. The floorboards are very good with no rust. The cab corners and doors have no rust which is remarkable for an un-restored Task Force Chevy. The bed has no rust. The running boards have no rust. The only rust on this truck is a little in the front fenders in the usual spot but it's not that bad. And the very common rust above the windshield which is now easily repaired as patch panels are now produced due to much demand. Overall this truck is a remarkably solid basis for a restoration with very little rust or dents to contend with compared to most original un-restored Task Force trucks.
The interior is complete and ingood condition for its age. The original seat will need reupholstering like with any un-restored farm truck of this vintage.
Mechanically this truck is complete but has not ran in a few years. The original 6 cylinder engine turns freely. We also have a very good GM 350 crate motor with only 30k miles with a freshly rebuilt Quadrajet and TH350 automatic transmission that may be of interest to the buyer of this truck for additional cost. We have a video of this engine running if interested.
This will make an excellent basis for that Chevy Task Force project that you've been looking for. It's very unusual these days to come across these very sought after trucks in this condition, they have usually already been restored or are rusted or customized beyond repair. All of our vehicles come withfour pieces of paperwork required by the DMV to Title your new vehicle in your home State:
1. An invoice, including vehicle description, VIN #, your details and our details
2. A Canadian Title Document
3.Completed & Stamped US Customs Paperwork Form 7501
4. Completed & Signed DOT HS-7 Form
Border Crossings
All of our vehicles are sourced from Canada. We then store them just north of the border until they are sold. Once sold we take the vehicles across the border to ourpremises in Montana for you to collect, or for your preferred shipper to collect for you.
The process of moving the vehicle across the borderto Montana is taken care of by us and fully paid for by us. You will incurabsolutely no further charges above and beyond what youbid for the vehicle.
There is certain border paperwork that is necessary for this process and for that we use a professional customs broker by the name of Cole International USA Inc. They operate with complete confidentiality and any of your personal information, that we supply them with for this process, is treated as such.
Shipping
Should you wish to have your new (old) vehicle shipped, then let us know and we can put you in contact with our preferred shippers. Theseshippers are familiar with us, our inventory and our location. They are also very reasonably priced.
If you decide to use an alternative shipper, please make them aware if the vehicle is a 'non-runner' and, therefore, will require a winch for loading and unloading. We are not responsible if you book a shipper who is incapable of loading the vehicle.
Due to the nature of what we do, we are often on the road in search of new vehicles, so please be sure to make us aware of your shipping/collection arrangements ahead of time, so that we can arrange to be there to meet you or your shipper.
If you are an international buyer (outside of the US) then you have two options:
1. Have the vehicle transported from our yard in Coaldale, Alberta to the port in Vancouver, British Columbia, and then to your country of residence.
2. Have the vehicle transported from our yard in Coaldale, Alberta, via bonded transport to a port in the US, and then to your country of residence.
Obtaining your US Title
In order to obtain a US Title for your vehicle all that you will need to do istake thefour pieces of paperwork, listed above, to your local DMV office. The DMV are familiar with this process and it will come at no additional cost to you. The process is very straightforward and stress free when dealing with domestic vehicles over 25 years old.
