1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Description:

1962 CHEVROLET SS CONVERTIBLE WITH 409...My project can become your project. Needs complete restoration. I bought it over 20 years ago and am now realizing I will never get it done. So here is the story. The original convertible was very rusty, (see the picture of it on the trailer). I also had a hard top that wasn't to bad so I had the convertible section put on the hard top. I then found a 409 out of a 1963 impala, it is the L33 motor-code QG. the engine ID numbers were ground off when the block was decked. The engine has been rebuilt right down to the clutch & pressure plate. It also has an Offenhouser 2x4 intake w/2 Carter AFBs on it and new Summit distributer.The engine is now 420 cu. in. the engine has not yet been started. Check the pictures for the body condition. I also have power brake and power steering parts if you want them. The rust that is left on the car is very manageable. Email me for specific pictures if you need them.
