I am forced to sell my super solid Chevy 1940 coupe from long time storage with rebuilt 350[before storage],auto trans. This car has been in storage for most of it's life, as it's body and frame are so unbelievably solid, and the reason I bought it years ago. I just couldn't get to it,though, and must sell. Engine was rebuilt at one time, but will need to be refreshed after rust in valve train,etc.,from long storage. Turbo trans and rear axle condition unknown. Sanded down to metal,with many photos documented, and metal-etch primered and then epoxy primered 7-30-19. Final smoothing needed before paint. INCLUDED: all stock trim, including center hood stainless, [missing 3 beltline stainless from r. side and front hood chrome], and button-tuck interior, original straight axle, radiator, glass,etc. Fabricated firewall,trans cross member, rear trunk hinges, etc. This was started as a street rod in the 90's and then put on hold in storage, when I bought it,and put it into my storage. I bought a 40 straight axle and Mopar interior and was going to build gasser, but never could get to it. I don't care for rack front suspension, that is bolted in with drum brakes, and rear axle is open drive. Has 2" lowering blocks on stock springs. Firewall added in front of solid original,and is clean job. Three spots of rust to mention are: center of dashboard around radio..2= rear panel below trunk lid where bumper passes through...3=very bottoms of doors have bondo on lower edges. Body was off frame for cleaning, painting,and fab work, of frame etc. Bottom of body was sande, but not primered, so it's showing surface rust on bare metal. Minimal body and fender fasteners used for mock up. No wiring, steering column or wheel,radio, or running boards. Very nice original radiator included. Car rolls very nicely,but have to manually turn tires,to steer. Looks like everything for windows,etc. with nice stainless. Glass itself looks tired,although rear clear piece is nice. Rear trunk hinges included, and front running/blinker, along with all parts shown, plus some extras. I would like a $500.00 PayPal deposit within 3 days, and balance in cash on pick up. Front suspension is Corvair, I believe, with stripped threads on 1 tierod, 5 lug drum. Trans is clean and silver, so I think it was nice before years of storage. Have more photos of 9", etc. in phone. Mi. title in my name. Everything will fit inside car for transport. Minimum bolts body to frame,etc. No disappointment on this body!! I bought this for myself,and lost storage,etc.

Body details: 1=dashboard radio holes are messed up,as usual, behind bezel and there is minor work to clean up metal before a radio would bolt in cleanly. No biggie. 2= look at photo of rear bumper brackets below taillights to see where they go through some filler they used around tailights. 3=Very botom edges of doors are mostly straight amd metal but have some filler on outer skin to smooth. This was done years ago before inside storage and has not changed. I have been building Chevies since 1973 and have high standards for my projects. I have to sell this because of moving,storage,etc. Currently covered outside.
