1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Description:

My friend and fellow car club member built this beautiful classic for a dream that he had. He wanted a car he could race on the dragstrip for weekend warrior runs - for fun. Unfortunately after investing a considerable amount of dough (receipts on hand) my pal passed away. His family now wants someone else to enjoy this well thought out and carefully built Cruiser/Hot Rod. It's awesome on theHighway and the Street as well. In fact it drives so easy,shifts so smoothly that it's fun to drive.

This gorgeous classic is a 1966 Chevelle, 2 Door Hardtop. Ready to go with a 454 big block - rebuilt and bored to 462 cubic inches. Mixture is from an Holley 700 Dual Pump Performer Carb. RPM aluminum heads, Performer RPM Air Gap intake manifold and Engle cam with solid lifters. Spark comes from HEI Streetfire Magnetic Distributor. Charge comes from a 140 Amp one wire alternator. Compression ratio is approximately 10.2. Music to your ears from the full length Dougs 2 inch headers with Quicktime Electric Cutouts. Ease of driving comes from power steering and Vintage Air AC. This fast car stops on a dime - literally with an impressive HYDROBOOST Power braking system. Great shifts from the 5 speed Tremec manual transmission with a dual friction clutch.

Rear axle 12 bolt sports a 3:42 positraction gear ratio. Race safety features include ascatter shield, driveshaft loops and battery box in trunk with shut off switch ready to be reinstalled. . Rims are American Racing Mag polished "Salt Flats”. Other features include power front windows, smoked glass on side and back window, bucket seats, console, custom brushed aluminum dash panel with Autometer Phantom gauges. The car is ready to run on the drag strip with all of the necessary safety features such as scatter shield, driveshaft loops and battery shut off switch included ready to be mounted outside trunk.
