1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description:

This is a great start to restoring an american classic. This is the desired non-post 2 door hardtop Bel Air. This car would be ideal for a home hobbyist as there will be money to be made on resale. This car could be put back on the road fairly quick as a driver condition car with a few months of work. This is an "AS IS" sale and I have described this to the best of my ability. Please see the video below to hear the car running and revving. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Specs:Motor:327ci /300hp/Impala Motor/Open Headers/mild cam/camel hump heads/ The motor runs good and is tight with very little mileage and run time. I was going to go with a modern ls setup but this is a good motor. I would recommend replacing basic gaskets and adding a modern intake/carb setup/ignition. The car does not come with a battery.
Trans:2-speed original powerglide/works but leaks out quick after filling/comes with TH-350 short shaft in the trunk that I was told was rebuilt but recommend going through it before installing. The turbo 350 matches up perfectly but will need a correct cross brace, linkage, gear selector gauge, and tore down & inspected.
Chassis:The floor pans need patched in a few areas but overall they are solid. The outer wheel houses in the rear need replaced due to rust see pictures. The cross bracing for body to floor pan connections need replaced and new ones welded in see pictures. The body mounts are fairly good overall but a couple will need some cutting, welding new pieces/patching for strength added see pictures. The underside is ugly and mostly needs to be wire wheeled, treated, and painted. I started the process in the front wheel wells and surprisingly there was no rust under the grime.
Frame:The frame had a patch done in the rear passenger side rear of the tire and the welds are strong. The bumper mount is in alignment. This was not a concern to me as I was going to back half the car with a full 4 link and mini-tub it.
Body:The front headlight brows were replaced and done professionally. The rocker panels and door skins were re-done but they will need some additional finishing work like alignment and proper gaping. Overall, the main outer body is in very good shape on this car and there is minimal rust overall. I would say the body is like 70% done.
Tires/Wheels:The tires, stems, and wheels are new. The car comes with 4 period/year correct stainless hubcaps.
Interior:The seats (front/back) come with the car, original door panels for tracing, and rear package tray. The car will need most of the interior stainless, hardware, and a full interior redo kit including a full headliner. The dash is in really good shape with the original radio and clock intact (non-working).
Wiring:The wiring for the car is ok as all the stuff works other than the blinkers but I believe it is just a flasher that is bad. I planned on doing a painless kit just to make it all new.
Trim:The car comes with about 80% of the exterior trim minus a few pieces here and there. The trim will be in the rear of the car on the inside and there is parts and hardware in boxes to include courtesy lights, mirrors, and various other odds and ends.
Brakes:The car has modern power brake conversion with a front brake conversion to disc brakes. The brakes need to be bled overall and adjusted in the rear but the car will stop well once those items are done.
