1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Roadster Description:

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is equipped with a numbers-matching 327ci V8 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and finished in red over a red vinyl interior with a black soft top and matching hardtop. The car reportedly sat in storage from the early 1980s before undergoing a refurbishment from 2005-2007. The car has been driven 3,300 miles since its completion.
This C1 Corvette was acquired by me a few years ago and is offered with refurbishment documentation and a clean title.The original build sheet indicates the car was finished in code 923 Solid Red. The current paintwork includes color-matched fender coves. Exterior trim includes front and rear chrome bumperettes, rocker panel covers, and faux-knockoff hubcaps. A fabric top and color-matched hardtop are both included and can be viewed in the gallery.The interior was refreshed with a kit from Al Knoch Interiors. Detailed photos of the red upholstery, carpets, lap belts, and bright trim are provided in the gallery.Factory instrumentation has been retained along with an analog clock and Wonderbar AM radio. The odometer was rolled back at the time of the rebuild and now indicates 3,300 miles.The 327ci V8 was reportedly fitted with a positive crankcase ventilation system from the factory. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, which routes power to a Positraction rear end. Ancillary components were restored or replaced with new old stock items as needed.
