Thanks for taking a look at our awesome 1955 GMC 3100 Shop Truck. Presented in Hot Rod Black with Red Highlights, she's a looker and a Bad Ass with plenty of punch. She's not perfect. More of a brawler looking for a good time.

Rarity

These Tri Five trucks from GM made just a 3 year run. Much like the fabled Tri-Five coupes, BelAirs and Nomads, these were the best looking trucks to come along in years and have been a collector favorite ever since. This is the "Big" rear window model you want. It's an Oakland California built truck that looks to have stayed local.

Exterior

Shop truck solid, not show truck prefect. Shaved door handles with poppers. 57 Chevy smoothy hood. Good glass. Custom grill and front bumper. Red dyed fresh oak bed is all new with clear resin finish, new strips and fasteners. Custom tail lights. Roll pan, Front Spoiler. Chevrolet tailgate. See the pictures and the video.

Interior

Power windows, Door poppers, Tilt wheel, Skull shifter, Bluetooth Audio with USB, nice Bench seat, New red carpet. Cool vinyl trim in machine turned pattern door panels, inner steps and dash.

Engine

350 CID GM V8, Chrome Valve covers, Freshly rebuilt Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock Manifold. Headers with Dual exhaust. Modern 1 wire alternator. California Smog EXEMPT. Runs strong.

Transmission

4 Speed manual transmission. Positraction Rear Axle.

Braking, Suspension

Power steering. Front disc conversion, rear drum brakes.

Trim

The trim is in good shape. See pics and video.

Glass

Glass is in good condition throughout. Power windows.

Odometer

The odometer indicates 34865 miles.We don't believe it and suspect that it has rolled over. How many times is anyone's guess. TMU to be safe.

DMV / Documentation

The California title is clear and clean. Registration is on PNO. 1 license plate. 57 Chevy smoothy hood, Chevrolet on the tailgate and the title says GMC. Seems like she's a bit of a mutt.

Comparables

There always seems to be some cool Tri Five trucks available but many of them have been restored to near showpieces. While these are super cool trucks, it's hard to justify truly using them as trucks anymore. We kept this one basic and useable. Even that shiny red bedwood is coated in clear, hard resin to add years of durability.
