1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Restomod Description:

If you're going to dream, dream big. Clearly someone wanted to build a street-brawler F-body and pulled out all the stops to create this stunning 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Restomod. With a thundering big block under the hood, high-impact bodywork, and a traditional Camaro tech interior, this is the muscle car we all wish we owned. Seriously, if you could have a vintage Camaro built any way you wanted, isn't this pretty much what you'd wish for?... The bodywork looks like a million bucks from any angle, so they clearly spent the time to get it right. The bright Hugger Orange paint with a white hockey-stick stripe sure isn't subtle, but somehow it works on the vintage Camaro sheetmetal. That cowl hood, ducktail spoiler, and SS-style blacked out grille and lower valance were added during the build, and aside from some very minor signs of having been driven, there isn't much to complain about here. There were no liberties taken with the Camaro's classic shape, and even the original Camaro script emblem was reinstalled on the nose, along with the requisite fender badges. Chrome bumpers add a little contrast, along with chrome trim down the rocker panels, wheel arches, and 1-year only rear quarter gills. Nobody will say this thing doesn't have the right look. From behind the wheel, there's no way to tell that this isn't a restored standard Camaro. The stock interior has been mostly refinished to factory specs, and the workmanship is quite good throughout. Original-style buckets are wrapped in black vinyl, auxiliary gauges have been integrated into the dash, and the Hurst shifter that rises up from the floorboard and powers the 5-speed transmission almost beckons the driver to go have some fun. That 3-spoke Bowtie steering wheel is a great addition and has an aftermarket tachometer strapped just beyond it on the column, and you'll note that the original AC gauges are still in their square pods. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo is fitted into the factory slot and sounds great. Out back the trunk is spacious and finished nicely with spatter paint. In the best resto-mod tradition, this car blends the best of yesterday and today to create something truly spectacular. Beastly is one word for the 396 cubic inch big block under the hood. It's as polished as the bodywork, wearing bright orange paint on the block, but it's also remarkably manageable pump gas-friendly pistons inside. An aluminum intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor deliver the fuel, while a set of long-tube headers use Pypes Race Pro mufflers to handle the dual X-pipe exhaust via a set of turn-downs just behind the rear tires. There's a big aluminum radiator up front, chrome valve covers and open-element air cleaner, and newer hardware and plumbing throughout. The Camaro's suspension wasn't modified besides a set of tubular A-arms and newer shocks and springs, and a set of power 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors give it impressive stopping power. The 5-speed manual transmission feeds a resilient 10-bolt rear with highway-friendly gears, making it comfortable under any conditions. Chrome American Racing Special Edition wheels look great against the orange bodywork and carry fat 235/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear performance radials. If you're looking for a weaponized 1969 Camaro, look no further. Someone was reaching for something modern and hit the sweet spot between vintage and state-of-the-art. Call today!
