It got tired so 2 years ago I purchased a BRAND NEW GM crate 350/195 HP engine. I used the original intake manifold,2 barrel rodchester carb., value covers, exhaust manifolds and brackets. Also a new water and fuel pump just because. The engine is a prefect fit, runs so strong, smooth, and quiet. It idles perfectly and has no leaks. Undercarriage: Original 2 speed powerglide trans.: shifts prefect, always serviced, no leaks. NOS muffler, rear Delco spiral shocks. Car tracks and stops straight as an arrow. Upgrades safely and comfort: Front Disc Brake, Dual master cylinder, 8" power booster, Uniroyal tiger paw radial tires, clock converted to quartz movement keeps prefect time! turn radio on twice for FM stations although radio and face are 100% original. In the last 19 years I put over 38000 enjoyable miles which the last 4000 miles were on the new engine. This Chevy is such a great car to drive I can't remember ever driving this car and not get a compliment.
