1966 Chevrolet Impala SS Description:
Selling my 1966 Impala SS. Overall the car is in presentable condition, a true SS and a period correct 327 engine. This car spent it's early life in Arizona.The exterior is lemonwood yellow and is in fair condition as it stands, but could use some freshening up. The hood and trunk lid were repainted a few years back. There is some bubbling beginning to form around the rear window and the passenger quarter panel corner. I have a replacement drive side quarter included with sale. The floor pans and frame are in excellent condition.
The interior is black and is in great condition as pictured. This has the center console rally gauge pack option from the factory as shown. I have added a pro comp auxiliary coolant temp gauge underneath the knee panel and a classic industries vintage am/fm radio with a fabricated metal top plate covering the existing plastic.
The engine is a period correct 327 with fuelie heads the engine was rebuilt, bored .0060 over and has about 3000 miles on it. I have updated a few of the car's systems, the braking system was replaced it now has a new brake booster, front disc brakes and new brake lines. The cooling system was overhauled as well, it has a 3 core aluminum champion radiator with a flex-a-lite dual fan setup. The exhaust is long tube headers plumbed to true dual flow masters. The transmission is a TH350 with a shift kit that was rebuilt along side the engine.
Overall the car is in presentable condition, it gets looks and positive feedback everywhere I take it. I recently purchased a convertible Corvette and have not shown the Impala as much attention. If I were to continue the car I would patch the driver side quarter panel corner and paint the car but I have a lot of fun just cruising around town and enjoying it as it is. I am asking $11,900 and have some room for negotiation, I will not entertain low ball offers.
