89 MILEAGE

1956 Chevrolet Nomad Description:

Here's a very nice, pro built 1956 Nomad. This is a frame off complete new build with 89 shakedown miles. If you're looking for a ready to go, high quality build this is your car. Don't go through the heartbreak of building a project car, just write the check and drive this one home. It's being offered here at much less than the cost to duplicate.
The car was built from a local San Gabriel Valley car, sold new in Southern California and never left. The frame is original with the rear leaf springs moved in board using Earl William's kit. The front uses CPP tubular control arms and dropped spindles with a CPP 500 series power steering box. All the tie rods, the idler arm, center link and shocks also new. The rear axle is a Currie 9" Ford with 3.50 gears and the brakes are Wilwood all around. The entire frame was removed and powdercoated in satin black.
The body was stripped to bare metal, and the spare tire well was removed. It was fully prepped and blocked on a rotissere before being shot in PPG DBC base coat and PPG 4010 clear. The front bumper was smoothed to remove the guards and every pieces of stainless, chrome and potmetal on the car was lovingly repaired, polish and plated. There's a ton of money in plating and polishing on this car, it presents very well.
The motor is a new LS3, it's had the short block polished and there's a new Vintage Air Front runner system installed. The radiator setup came from Mattson's, its a beautiful complete drop in unit with custom made core support and all polished. It's also got a 4L65 overdrive transmission and the whole thing is managed by a stock 0411 PCM for factory reliability. There's a custom stainless fuel cell and custom exhaust.
The interior is a gorgeous custom setup done in saddle leather and vinyl. The carpets are custom and made from German squareweave material. There's a hidden audio unit under the back seat that's controlled by a wired remote while the speakers have been cleverly concealed in custom panels. This Nomad also has a Gen 4 Magnum air conditioing system from Vintage air, and the gauges are from Classic Instruments.
Overall, this is a very well built car that looks great and works great. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions at 626-804-3780.
