I highly recommend you come look before you bid.I don’t want anyone to be the high bidder, come to pick up, and say “ This ain’t what I thought it was”!I’m selling this car starting at $.99 with NO Reserve!I bought this car for my wife to drive. Drove 2 hours to get. Now, I’ll tell you about the car.
GOOD:Has new...tires, battery, starter, plugs & points, complete interior was done over. Just got the title, it says 068381 as the original...maybe is, I don’t know. Runs great!BAD:Excessive play in the steering, rides like a log truck, really stiff! Won’t shift out of low gear.(modular valve?) body work is TERRIBLE!
This car looks good from about 20’. Whoever painted it did absolutely horrible bodywork. Has rust bubbles all over the place. Someone pop riveted new pieces in the front floors ( look ok) frame all looks good. I don’t know why...but it has the stiffest suspension I’ve ever seen! The manual steering has a great amount of play in it, I mean, you can drive it, but it’s got a lot of play back & forth.
So, there it is....if the trans shifted, I’d say you could drive it home. Transmission shop said it’s probably the Modular....I don’t know! Don’t be the last bidder and come here and say “ OH, I didn’t know these things were wrong, I wanted to drive it home” .I just want it gone!
