1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Wagon Description:

No Reserve! When I got this 57 wagon in a package deal several years ago, the guy I got it from thought it was a 9 passenger but there is no cowl tag so I can't tell. I unloaded it from the trailer, rolled it into my storage building and didn't look at it again until last week, so I don't know any history on it.The reason I never did anything with it is because it was stuffed full of all the items pictured, I knew it was going to be a dirty job cleaning it ou, so after several hours of spreading parts on the ground I will tell you what I found.
The good:>It appears that someone started a restoration on it many years ago because of the primer, black paint on the front suspension and the entire floor has been painted black. It has been stored inside for many years.>The VIN tag is nice and I have a clear PA title in my name.
>The areas of body around all the windows are virtuallyrust free.( rare on a wagon)
>All the windows roll up and down and the door handles work.
>Upper section of the tailgate is very good.
>Roof and drip rails are good, rust through in one spot about 2" long.
>4 sets of seats. 2 sets I believe are original to the car and the other 2 are questionable.
>Tailgate opening on body is quite good. (again, rare on a wagon)
>Does have original 57 type rear diff. with unknown gear ratio.
>No reserve.

The Bad:> missing lots of parts
>Serious rust in floor at the outer edges.
>Rockers are bad.
>Spare tire well rusted.
>Bottom half of the tail gate is bad. PO drilled holes for straps to hold it on.
>Left side pass door is bad, but there is a good one included.
>Interior is trashed. No headliner, but it does have the bows or the headliner.
>No cowl tag
>Left rear spring is broken, however there was a spare in the car.
>Dash is empty but not hacked up. No under-dash wiring.
>I looked at the frame, it is rusty but didn't see any holes or rust-thru.
>No fuel tank, there was one stashed in the car but I don't think it is correct.

Received from an e-bay member:

That is a original 9 passenger Wagon. You can tell by the back seat brackets and also by the back cargo floor. Looks like it still has a few of the original parts. The chrome arms by the tailgate are there to support the third seat when it's up. Donald
