1968 Chevrolet Corvair Description:
This was my "Corvair Love Affair" but life has changed, for me recently, so I must sell. This Corvair Coupe runs up to 60-65 has a modified aerodynamic front end for better road control, newly installed: control arm bushings, stabilize bushings, new shocks, tires are near new. The miles are not indicative of the engine miles, as this is a rebuild 110 and is equipped with dual headers. Lower control arms replaced! Comes with electronic ignition for easy start. Outboard electric fuel pump, oil cooler. Primary carbs work, they will need rebuilding.The 110 heads were resurfaced and machined by previous owner to accept bigger valves, but secondaries need work/rebuild or replace entire system with the Throttle Body Fuel kit. That was going to be my next modification. Has a 4-speed manual. Reverse takes some practice, but its there with the short-shift kit. The previous owner used small parking amber parking lights, but I am providing the original directional/parking lamps that would ca be traced back to the original position; the trunk opens easily with a screw driver temporarily, (Slotted at an angle to the trunk claw) but I am providing a new key, lock and Chevy emblem,for assembly. Open trunk with screw driver through lever slot. Extra emblems, lug-lock set, new arm rests, NEW Dual Head Temp gauge and wiring kit to be installed; Oil gauge works when reconnected to existing wiring harness. New brake lines. Needs new paint, you will have to strip old paint. Interior is 80% complete w/Honda seats, new seat belts, carpeting! Also included: Electric trunk latch kit to pop trunk open. Will need new windshield chrome trim kit and re-seated windshield. Windshield is in good shape! This Corvair just needs more love! Will consider reasonable offer. Lee
