1974 Chevrolet Vega Notchback Description:

This 1974 Chevy Vega is a survivor, and great car for someone looking for either a fun weekend car as is, or a great platform for a resto-mod. The car is currently registered and in driving condition. Runs and drives well.
The story behind the car is it was laid up in a barn in Ohio in 1981, and did not see the sun light again until 2015 when I got it. The car has a little less than 35k miles on the original engine and transmission. The interior is super clear, no cracks in the dash. I did replace the carpet, as that had deteriorated with time.
The suspension has also been replaced, and has a new carburetor and battery.
The body is straight and clean. It was repainted before being laid up in '81, and is chipping in a few areas showing the original orange paint underneath. It is fine for a weekend car, but if you are looking to have this be a showpiece, it will likely need to be repainted.
This has the original 2.3L inline 4 cylinder engine. It is in good working order. and the original automatic transmission runs and shifts as it should. This car has manual brakes, steering, windows, and seats. Everything works as it should. It is a pretty good car, but it is 45 years old, and has not seen a complete restoration, so please feel free to ask questions about condition. Like any car of this vintage (especially an original Vega), it will require TLC.
It has cool gold Krager wheels, and I have two original wheels with the chrome hubs. I also have a ton of spare parts. I parted out a non-working Vega back in 2014. All of those parts will come with this car.
