1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description:

I'm selling my 1955 Chevy pickup. I completely restored (restomoded) it. It has been on the road now for about 1 year. It took about 2 years for me to complete the restoration. I have done about 15 cars so far so I do have a good bit of experience at this. I always sell these vehicles in order to fund my next project and that is the case here too.

It is a great running truck. It gets more attention than any other vehicle I have ever owned. Everyone loves it, old and young, men and women, all compliment about it.

A few features: It has a fresh 305 Chevy V8 that was originally in a 1985 Z28 Camaro. It runs great. It is completely stock so it is really smooth. It has a GM 5 speed transmission from an early 90's Chevy truck. The transmission is a T5. The rear end is a freshly built GM 12 bolt from a '66 Chevelle and is a positraction with a 3.30:1 ratio. This rear end could handle MUCH more power than this truck has. It was what was available at the time, so I put it in. It has disc brakes front and rear. They are both originally Camaro parts. The frame is original but with a 1979 Camaro front subframe clip. It really drives good. The rear suspension is still leaf springs. The rear axle is mounted on top of the springs instead of below as was original in the truck. It has a ton of new parts. Most everything has been replaced with new/reproduction parts as you would expect with a full restoration. Here is a partial list:

all glass is new, all rubber parts including weatherstripping, belts and hoses are new, new treatedbed wood that has been coated with a product for restoring decks (it worked great), new stainless bed strips. All chrome parts are new; bumpers, grill, mirrors, handles inside and out, guage panel and bezel. It has all new brake parts including master cylinder, vacuum booster, stainless steel brake lines, new rubber lines, new calipers, pads and rotors. It has new guages (Dolphin), new wiring harness (Easy Wiring) with miniature fuses. It has a new aluminum radiator, new drive shaft, lots of new accesory parts on the engine like Edelbrock intake manifold, aluminum finned valve covers and air filter. New Holley 650 cfm carburetor. New Grant steering wheel and horn button. New carpet and headliner. New RetroSound Apache radio that fits the original dash.It has Bluetooth andtwoUSB inputs.New Infinity speakers (it has 4 6x9 speakers and a 10" subwoofer behind the passengers seat. The stereo sounds great).New electric two speed windshield wipers.New 20" wheels and tires. New aluminum 17 gallon gas tank (moved to behind the rear axle). There are lots more newparts than I listed here.

As for other used parts I put in, it has a GM tilt steering column. I used a pair of leather Volvo electric seats. They are very comfortable. It has a center console from a mid 90's Chevy Suburban.

The paint is pretty good. It is driver quality. It does have a few flaws including chips scratches and a few tiny bubbles in the paint. All in all it has tons of curb appeal. It is not a show truck, but a really nice driver quality build. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon on the highway. I welcome anyone to come view it or contact me for more details.

Buyer responsible for pickup/shipping. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking!
