Research shows that there were almost 300 thousand Belair 2dr Hard Tops (no posts) were produced in 1955, which only under11 thousand 210 2 dr hard Tops, 98% of the parts used in this project are original to this car. Any parts that were replaced wereretained and included with sale. Every bolt, every inch of this car was touched, down to the correct color on the bellypan. She is sporting a rebuilt 1955 265 ci. V8 with all the correct items such as 1955 tagged 2 bbl carb.the correct capillary oil press sending unit and water temp. (not repos)..I searched till NOE were found. The distributor did get a Pertronics unit for reliability. Original decals on oil filter housing, and air cleaner. every bracket was re-plated as came new. The transmission ( 2 spd ironglide ) was gone thru thoroughly. A check valve was added to the trans line to stop the back feed common with these transmissions. rebuilt starter and new wiring. Brakes- All 4 corners got new replacement bearings, seals,bushings, wheel cyl, shoes and new brake lines. All stainless exterior trim was straightened to perfection and polished. All glass is clean and clear, The paint is originalcolors, Body was soda blasted to metal. The bumpers were rechromed as to retain the originalrivets that held the 3 piece front bumper pieces, the originalstencilpainted serial # is still visible on the rt front frame member. All 4 rims have the 1955 stamp, and correct dogdish hubcaps for the 210 . The interior- all the upholstery materialsis Danchuck reproduction. thatwas custom taylored properlyover burlap and cotton. As well as the OE carpet, The originalTube AM radio was made to work As Wellas the clock. for the exception of chrome knobs on the dash it is all 210 originalrestored.
