1974 Chevrolet Camaro Type LT Description:
I purchased this 1974 Camaro LT almost 14 years ago. My original plans were to restore it but I never got around to it. When I purchased the car, it was a running, registered and inspected NY driver. Not a show car by any means. Just a crusier / fun car.
After letting it sit so long outside, time has taken its toll and there is rust bubbling up on the paint. There's also a decent amount of rot around the wheelwells and rocker panels. Typical for a northeastern car. The floor boards are pretty solid although there is a weak spot on the passenger side that looks to be the result of a leaking heater core at some point in time. There's also a hole in the trunk, so if you're planning on restoring this car back to original condition -- the trunk should be replaced as well.
The car is currently painted black but was originally a dark red 70s color. I have pictures of the interior which I removed to begin the restoration that shows the original outside factory dark red color of the car.

Engine is pretty much stock. I believe it's the original that came with the car, possibly the L65 per online VIN decoders.
350cu SBC (exact mileage unknown)
2 barrel Rochester carb with an Edelbrock air filter
Headers (I think they are hooker) into a dual, straight through exhaust with cherry bomb / thrusher style glasspack mufflers
Transmission is a TH350. I'm not sure of the rear-end but I suspect it's the original and probably a 10-bolt. Not sure of the gearing either but probably stock.
So, in summary, this is a good father/son project car but not a show car. You can get this car up and running without much fuss and work on it as you restore it. The car is being sold AS-IS and has a clear NY title. Currently, the two front tires are deflated and the battery is dead. Thus, the car will need to be towed via a flatbed truck or similar fashion.
