1958 Chevrolet Impala Description:

1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. This is an older frame-on restoration that still looks good. Paint looks great still with minor signs of age. Interior is also good looking with no rips or stains. No front seat trim. Wonder bar radio not working. Started a CD player in glove box but never did start wiring or actual install. Front seat belts are original and correct for 1958. Rear belts are aftermarket. Rebuilt 1958 283 (build sheet available on request) with the rare fuel injection rebuilt by Chuck Smith and Company. Fuel injection part number 7014900R. Fuel injection distributor model number 1110914. This FI unit is for 1958 passenger car, not corvette. Motor has solid lifters, bored .060 over, and the correct Dontov .097 cam for FI. Block casting number 3737739 and serial number F49CZ. Ethanol free fuel only. Two speed "iron glide" power glide rebuilt. Rebuilt both two years ago and never did put much drive time to it. All lights work with original wiring. Accuracy of instruments in dash cluster unknown. I know the fuel guage is off. Never drove on highway. Likes to run hot in traffic. Has the original Harrison radiator but could use an aluminum upgrade. Interior floors are patched and trunk floor is patched. Gas tank and sending unit replaced. Original drum brakes all around with single reservoir master cylinder. Coker tires have good tred and garage kept always. Passenger door sags. Need to lift up when shutting. The bracket on the lower hinge mount on inner firewall side needs repair. Door and door hinge is ok. This car is good driver quality and is not a showroom frame off restoration. Clear title.
