1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Description:

Took this vehicle as a trade at my son's car lot.When business was closed in 2013, I registered this car to myself. We had been told that it was a worked 350 with a mild cam, headers, 4spd transmission, 12 bolt rear, and competition clutch.. It is a beast if your into speed. If this is an original 4spd then only 839 built. If not - then a very nice conversion. The servos in transmission were replaced in 2013 as well as installing a new Hurst competition/plus shifter and linkage rods and an Autometer Tach. It had an older restoration probably 10-15 years ago.
A/C parts are missing probably to not impede speed performance. Interior is extremely nice with bucket seats and console.
It was put in an old tobacco barn for temporary storage in 2013 with other vehicles. Barn was in poor condition. Missing planks and trees growing thru the sides. Did not intend to leave for any long period of time. Never quite got back to doing anything with them due to health and in 2015 an ice storm took part of roof and leaned the whole building. Finally dragged all vehicles out during demolition in 2017 and placed in new structure.
When placed in barn body was straight and paint shiny. There is now Hackleberry tree sap all over top of vehicle. No body damage except paint rust bubbling to front downturn of hood and small spot at each side where roof meets rear quarters - see pictures. None of this was evident prior to sitting in the elements for too long. Nice undercarriage. Battery is set up in the trunk.
The starter is now bad and a new one is in place but needs to be shimmed. Header is in the way and I just cannot work on the car especially without a lift. Vehicle will have to be towed from my property. You are welcome to preview this vehicle prior to auction end. You may also contact if sale is not completed this auction round.
