1954 Chevrolet Station Wagon Description:
1954 Chevy Handyman Station Wagon for sale. I have owned this street rod for over 20 years. This wagon is NOT a show car, it is a very cool daily driver. This rare wagon comes with a new 383 SBC engine, new Monster 700R Level 2, new Vintage A/C, new exhaust system w/Flow Masters, tires and much more.The engine was built by Five Star in Glendale, AZ and has approximately 5,600 miles on it. The 700R has 700 miles on the transmission. Built by Monster Transmission in Brooksville, FL. New Lokar shifter installed, not shown in photo. The differential is a standard Chevy 10 bolt w/3.73:1 gears, rear tires are P255/60-15. Painless wiring, everything works to include:lights, turn signals, horn & brake lights. All glass is good and all windows roll up & down manually. All working AutoMeter gauges, tilt steering with Lecarra steering wheel. Electric wipers. Gas tank is an original (restored) 14 gallon w/new sending unit. Has original front end with disc brakes in front & pads in the rear. This car goes down the road true & straight. Has rack & pinion unit for power steering. All new door locks and has a hidden Master Battery disconnect switch for security. Champion 3 row radiator & shroud w/16" electric fan. The upholstered seats & headliner were redone approximately 20 years ago and have no rips or tears.Also included is a Bruce Jones 9' surf board w/roof rack.
Please keep in mind that this car is 65 years old, the paint on the car is approximately 35 years old. To my knowledge, this is the only paint, other than the original that has been on the car. There are some rust areas on the bottom rear quarter panels and driver side front floor pan. I have made an attempt to show these area's via photo's. Replacement panels for the affected areas, from National Chevy Association come with the car. The reason for selling the car and why the panels have not been replaced is Father Time tells me that I can no longer perform these functions.
