1979 Chevrolet Corvette Description:

I'm old and made an "impulse" buy a couple days ago. I 'm not going to be able to do all that it needs done to it. Good points are that it's a 4 speed car with T-tops and air and electric windows and frame is good and body has not many surface cracks. I pulled the interior because it stunk and had mildew. The car has sat for years. It is an estate car and was last registered in 2002. Looks like a repaint that is peeling. Rats have chewed lots of wires. Car ran on a gas can. I did empty gas tank and it had a gallon of old gas but no rust. Has Goodwrench valve covers and could have a newer engine but I don't know for a fact. It's cold here now and I don't have the room or time to finish it out. Radiator is full of antifreeze. Oil is dirty but no water. I'm going to ask what I have in it and hope it goes to a good home. I ordered a new handle for the outside drivers side door and should be here in a day or so. Pass. side handle I repaired (new spring). I replaced a back tire that was flat. Please check the pics. out carefully before you bid and please pay. Wheels are stock aluminum rally. You get all you see and the old interior if you want it. Seats,wheels,tops all go. I pulled the carb. off and cleaned it and it squirts gas. I scraped the floors and wired brushed them and and painted them with truck bed paint. I'll continue to work on it as long as the weather permits. I'm hoping to have it start with key. Lowered the price a little to help pay for gas to pick up. I'm losing a bundle of money so if you want it, now's the time. It's been cold so I haven't done much to it. All glass is good and you could part it out. If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and fix it in the spring. You can make an offer. Been working on interior parts. Made it a 5 day listing. Remember, this is not a "cream puff". This comes with a complete 1979 Corvette assembly manual in a 3 ring binder. I spoke to the guy I bought it from and he had it started with the key. I just didn't have the clutch pushed all the way in when I tried to start it with the key.Thanks, Ed.
