1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Tribute Description:

Is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro the most popular muscle car of all? We can't seem to keep them in stock, and for all-around performance, good looks, and massive parts support, it's pretty hard to beat. This Z/28 tribute has the right look, and with a few extra cubic inches under the hood, it delivers on the promises those racing stripes make. Tuxedo Black always seems to make the Camaro look like an adult's car. Hugger Orange might be high-visibility, but if you've outgrown being the center of attention and just want a super-clean F-body that still looks aggressive, well, basic Black is always a great choice. All the standard Z/28 cues are there, from the front spoiler to the white Z/28 stripes, although the Z/28 badging is admittedly not authentic. However, the shine of the paint, the smooth, professionally-prepped bodywork, and good panel alignment give this car the right look and it'll be a hit at local shows and out on the road. It has the requisite cowl-induction hood and ducktail spoiler for that lean, mean, hungry look of a predator, and like many of you, I prefer the non-RS round headlights set into a correct Z/28 grille. Nice chrome bumpers, shiny gill inserts, and polished rocker trim make this Z sparkle. Hard to argue with the simple black interior, which is also all-new. Fresh reproductions seat covers on the front buckets include custom embroidered headrests that spell out the car's year (as if anyone needed a reminder). A center console with a Hurst shifter is also proper Z/28 spec, and it's as fun to mash the throttle and row the shifter today as it was in 1969. New door panels, carpets, and headliner add to the fresh look inside and none of the soft components show any notable wear; even the seat belts look pretty good! A 3-spoke steering wheel is a bit thicker than the original, and it frames the original gauges in the dash. There's also a set of auxiliary dials underneath, along with a later Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit. The trunk is finished with a simple mat and a matching full-sized spare tire. Real Z/28s had 302 cubic inches, but I'm sure you'll appreciate the extra 48 cubes that come with this one. Very nicely finished with enough eye candy to make opening the hood a regular occasion, the small block V8 runs as great as it looks. Chevy Orange paint, an aluminum Edelbrock intake, and a new Holley 4-barrel carb, satin black tinwork, and long-tube headers all make this V8 as familiar as your childhood home. It starts with a nice burble from the dual exhaust system and thanks to the quick reflexes of the 4-speed gearbox, it's a lot of fun to drive around town where you can just aim and shoot, letting the torquey small block flex its muscles. Other new parts include the alternator, hoses, MSD distributor, and a fresh fuel pump. The underside isn't detailed for show, but the light dusting of undercoating isn't hiding anything and things like the subframe connectors and Flowmaster mufflers make a difference. Chrome Rally wheels aren't quite stock but you can't argue with how good they look, and they carry 15-inch radials that fill the fenders properly. Not a show car or an ultra-rare piece of history, just a slick V8 Camaro that looks and drives great, for a mere fraction of the price. Call today!
