Up for sale is my 1970 Chevy C10 4x4 4 speed manual. It's an all original unrestored Colorado Forest Service truck that has been kept by the previous owners in running condition and driven often. I'm the 3rd owner after its duties in the USFS and I've been driving, preserving and cleaning it since. Although it's rusted and beat up in spots it has tons of character and awesome patina. The pictures show the purple iridescence and thats just one of the many cool things about this truck. When you yell into the truck it echoes back, and when you look in the rearview mirror, you look back in time.
Here some details.
Power nothing!Lights, turn signals, wipers, heater, brakes, dash gauges all work. Windows are hard to roll down.Glass is good except for a little fading, some chips, and an arched scratch in the windshield from the wiper arm in the passengers view.Floors are rusted through as well as the rockers. Frame and most mounts are good.Cab corners, door edges and areas of the bed and tailgate are rusted out, other areas are solid.Engine and trans run well but has some leaks, I put a new feel pump on and that helped.Idles nice.Straight exhaust with a Cherry Bomb, pretty loud.Original bed wood rotted and warping. Tires hold air but are dry rotted and cracked. I drive in town under 30 mph but they do need to be replaced.4x4 works good, clutch is high but useable.Dash pad and steering wheel is cracked, dome light works.
