1940 Chevrolet Other Description:

1940 chevy master 85 2 door sedan. I came across this vehicle parked in an old garage covered in the dirt and dust as seen in the last photos. I began talking with the elder gentleman about it and said he purchased it off the original owner over 20+ years ago. he had put new tires on the car, but the last time he pulled it into the garage he thought it blew a brake line, and that is where it has sat. I purchased the car and I had the car hauled to my shop and started to work on it, I pulled the wheels off and the left front brake shoe had separated, while I had the wheels apart to replace front brake shoes, I replaced all 4 wheel cylinders, new battery, changed oil and filter, new plugs, points, and tuned the car up, the 3 speed on the tree works amazing and clutch is extremely tight. I pressure washed the outside and blew out the inside, and that is all I did due to the amazing condition. the inside is like a time capsule and near flawless for the age, the outside is a great driver, with minor marks and rust, would be great to just get in and drive or for someone to start their perfect show car. very solid for the year. I did find approx a 3" hole in the trunk floor where the spare tire sits, very minor to repair. I did not want to do anything to the appearance or structure of the car and hide anything as many people do trying to sell old cars, id rather someone see exactly what they are getting. I drove the car a few times this year and put approx. 20 miles on it since owning it. I feel this vehicle you could get in and drive anywhere.
