1979 Malibu LS Swap

1979 Chevrolet Malibu Description:

1979 Chevrolet Malibu Landau Classic with an LS 5.3 engine swap. Caris rust free,I have had the car repainted last year and have been restoring the interior since then. This was an original bench seat car with blue interior. I have swapped the sweep styler gauge cluster for the rally pack gauges from a Monte Carlo SS. The volts and oil pressure work, tachometeris not reading correctly same with water temp. Speedometer is not hooked up due to being a mechanical gauge and electronic transmission. I have added Malibu bucket seats, new carpet, better condition dash, monte carlo center console, New front seat belts to match interior color. The interior was dyed doeskin, a 1979 corvette interior color. Before adding the new carpet I had added sound deadening material to the floor boards and trunk pan. Interior is 95% compete just needs a headliner, headliner trim, radio, speakers, and ac/heater control. The engine was pulled from a 2001 Chevy truck 2wd with a little over 100k miles. The heads were resurfaced and had a valve job, comp cams XR275HR-12, matching comp camsvalve springs, new GM roller lifters, harden comp cams push rods, hooker headers, new GM oil pump, Holley oil pan,and Holley EFI fuel rails. It is all powered by the original wiring harness that was re worked and had the engine tuned buy Swap Specialties. Has 4l60E transmission with fresh rebuild, 3200 stall converter, and gforce cross member. Rear end is a 3.73 posi trac from a 87 Monte Carlo SS and is secured by new UMI performance rear upper and lower control arms. The car has 3 inch dual exhaust with thrush mufflers. very loud. Fuel system is all brand new, new tank, new 6an stainless steel braided lines, new sending unit with walbro 255 pump running through a corvette fuel regulator/filter. Car will needdrip rail chrome. Rear bumper will need to be replaced or re chromed due to chrome flaking off. please message me if you have and question or would like different photos.
