Available for auction is this beautiful 1967 Corvette Roadster. This car has been under the same ownership for the past 42 years. It is powered by a numbers-matching L79 327 engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. This car looks great, drives well, and has the timeless stying that makes mid-year Corvettes among the most popular designs that ever rolled out of Detroit. Originally painted in Goodwood Green, the car has been refinished in Tuxedo Black. The older paint still shows very well, and was cut and polished by a reputable restoration shop in 2017. The brightwork shows well. The seats were rebuilt and re-upholstered in white leather in 2009 and are in very good condition. New carpet was installed at the same time, and is in excellent condition. A new replacement instrument panel and gauges were installed in 2017. A new aftermarket stereo system was also installed in 2017. Mechanically, the car runs well. It retains the original matching L79 327 (350 horsepower/HT suffix) engine. The driver's side cylinder head was replaced prior to the current owner's purchase. The transmission is a Muncie four-speed (M20 or M21) and is believed to be original, as is the (independent) rear differential. The current owner has not replaced any significant drive train components over the course of their 42 year ownership. The car has manual steering and manual four-wheel disc brakes. The white convertible top and mechanism are in good condition. A matching removable hardtop is included with the sale. Overall, this is a nice and well-loved car. It has had a soft life, used for mostly for pleasure, and is a good candidate for consideration.
