1957 Chevrolet Corvette Barn Find 283 4 speed car

1957 Chevrolet Corvette -- Description:

BARN FIND!!! This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette was in a local collection for the last 37 years! The previous owner stored the vehicle correctly in a dry garage. It is in good shape for a 61 year old car. It is not a matching numbers car. IT has a 1966-67 (#'3896944) 283 cubic inch motor mated to a Borg Warner T10 4 speed manual with a Hurst shifter. The aluminum intake is a period correct 2x4 barrel Carter (#3739653) setup. We... had our master tech change the oil and give the Corvette a tune up. He cleaned the carbs, adjusted the points and got this Corvette road worthy. The wheel cylinders and brake line extensions were replace, so the Corvette runs and stops! The trunk lid has been replaced with one from a fuel injection car. The cooling system is solid and free of leaks. The frame does need repair as seen in pictures. The top is in good shape. It appears the Corvette has been repainted at one time. The paint does have some checking and chips and has not been washed since received it. We got it running driving and stopping for the next owner. This Vette wouldn't take much to make a great driver. Overall this classic is in great shape for its age!
