1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe Description:

Here is a '41 Chevrolet coupe, ready to restore, rat rod, hot rod, street rod, build into a retro gasser race car, etc., etc. It is in original condition except the for wheels and tires. It is the Special Deluxe model, so it had the higher level of stainless trim. As pictured, some trim is installed on the car, and other uninstalled pieces that I have are in a separate picture. The car has the Master Deluxe side trim on the hood now, and the correct Special Deluxe side trim that goes into the hood louvers is pictured in the loose trim picture and comes with the car as well.

The body is more solid than many you will find, but there is still some rust and evidence of old bodywork. The floors have been recently patched and new supports were added underneath. More patching could be done, depending on what level you would like to take the car to. The rockers were patched many years ago and should be redone. There are only a few minor holes in the trunk area. The paint is weathered. One vent window is cracked, and all other glass is good. It has the original 6 cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission with three on the tree shifter. The fuel line is disconnected due to some rust in the gas tank and no battery is included, but the engine will run if you put a battery in and manually feed gas to the carburetor. The car has been converted to 12 volt electrical system at some time, and has a 12 volt starter and alternator. It will need some re-wiring due to old wiring insulation and the brakes will need work to be driveable.

This would be a good car to restore or drop in your later model drivetrain, upgrade the brakes and suspension - lots of possibilities. Clear Illinois title in my name. The car is located about an hour southwest of Chicago.
